In the Elite playlist, all Rogues are unlocked, allowing players to experiment with different team compositions and strategies. Below is the tier list of the best Rogues in the Elite playlist and explain why they stand out.
S Tier: Must Pick/First Ban
These Rogues have abilities and perks that make them almost essential picks in Elite. They excel in combat, provide great utility for the team and have strong potential for carrying matches.
Lancer is hands down one of the best Rogues for aggressive rushing gameplay. Her passive ability allows her to sprint and reload her primary weapon simultaneously, enabling hyper-aggressive flanking. Her Smoke Grenade provides excellent cover for pushing objectives. The Adrenaline Shot gives her a burst of increased speed and fire rate to decisively win duels. Lastly, her Semtex Grenades deal high damage and stick to enemies. Overall, Lancer has an extremely potent kit for rushing and fragging out.
Dima is one of the most lethal damage dealers in Rogue Company. His MIRV Launcher deals massive AoE explosive damage, allowing him to demolish groups of enemies. The Cluster Grenade has a similar area denial effect. Dima excels at clearing rooms, objectives and chokepoints with his high damage output. His passive ability, Padded Steps, allows him to move quietly, great for flanking. Dima can easily carry teams through his raw firepower.
Chaac is the premier breacher in Rogue Company. His Self-Revive Kit passive allows him to pick himself up after being downed once per life. This provides great sustainability in combat. His Smoke Grenade excels for pushing sites obscured by vision. However, Chaac’s most powerful ability is his Riot Shield. It makes him near impervious to frontal damage as he advances on enemies. This shield combined with his Self Revive makes Chaac an unstoppable force upfront.
Saint is the strongest healer in Rogue Company. His Drone can remotely revive teammates which is extremely valuable. Saint’s passive ability, Helping Hand, allows him to revive teammates faster. This sustain pressure can swing fights tremendously. Additionally, Saint’s Trip Mine does damage and highlights enemies that trigger it. This provides great scouting. A good Saint can keep the team pushing effectively.
A Tier: Strong Priority
The A Tier Rogues are not as ubiquitous as S Tier picks, but still perform very well in Elite and are strong choices.
Ronin has great survivability from the Ballistic Knife that heals her over time. She also has Dart that reveals enemy locations. But Ronin’s most powerful ability is her Ballistic Knife. It is a deadly weapon that takes skill to use well, but can inflict massive damage at any range. In the hands of a skilled player, Ronin can reliably win duels and carry games through sheer mechanical skill and versatility.
Scorch has powerful area denial and crowd control abilities. The Napalm Grenades spit flames across large areas which is great for blocking off chokepoints and objectives. The Incendiary Grenade covers enemies in burning thermite. Scorch’s passive ability, Double Time, increases her movement speed for a short time after respawning which aids in getting back to the fight quickly. A good Scorch can control the map and break apart enemy formations.
Seeker excels at scouting and intel gathering for the team. The Tracking Rounds he fires reveal enemy positions when hit. Seeker’s passive ability is Stalker which reduces the noise radius while crouched. This aids sneaky flanking. Additionally, the Cluster Smoke Grenade obscures vision for enemies but Seeker and allies can see through it with thermal vision. Seeker provides immense value through spotting and disorienting foes.
Vy is an excellent sniper who provides great overwatch and cover fire. The LT1 HRM sniper rifle one shots to the head at any range. Vy can shut down entire lanes with her expert marksmanship. The Poison Trap ability covers areas in toxic gas that damages enemies over time. Vy’s passive ability is Spotter which lets her always spot nearby enemies through walls. This wall hack intel provides huge advantages for picking off foes. Overall, Vy dominates the ranged game.
B Tier: Viable
The B Tier Rogues are situationally strong picks depending on team composition, map and mode. They can be viable in Elite but usually require more coordination.
Trench excels as a defender, especially on Demolition. The Barbed Wire slows enemies that cross it. Meanwhile, the Tear Gas Grenade covers an area in stinging gas that forces enemies to retreat. Trench’s passive ability, Explosives Expert, reduces explosive damage taken. This combined with the Wire and Gas makes taking sites very difficult against a Trench. A coordinated team can leverage these stalling abilities very effectively.
Talon has strong flanking and ganking potential. His Radar Dart reveals all enemy positions in a large radius when it lands. This intel enables sneaky flanks and pincer maneuvers. Additionally, Talon’s passive ability is Stalker which reduces noise radius while crouching, further enhancing stealthy gameplay. However, Talon lacks abilities to win duels so team follow up on his intel is crucial. In coordinated teams, Talon excels.
Anvil fills the role of heavy assault frontliner. The Barricade fortifies a position with a strong bulletproof cover. The Reinforced passive reduces explosive and melee damage taken. Additionally, the Fragmentation Grenade deals high AoE damage. Anvil excels on linear Control maps where he can anchor defensive positions. He struggles more on complex objective modes though.
Runway provides strong team mobility with her ability to call down zip lines for fast elevation changes. Enemies can also use the ziplines though, so placement is key. She also has Cluster Grenades that explode multiple times for area denial. Runway’s passive ability is called Air Traffic Control which reveals enemies marked by Radar Darts and Bio Trackers. This synergizes well with intel gathering Rogues. Overall, Runway enables highly mobile playstyles.
C Tier: Situational
The C Tier Rogues can work in Elite but generally require very specific team synergies, map situations or extra player skill to shine. They are hard to justify over higher tier picks.
Switchblade is the newest Rogue and brings strong aggressive potential. The Explosive Recall ability lets her warp back to a previous location, great for bait and escape tactics. The Cluster Grenade packs a punch in AoE damage as well. However, Switchblade lacks elsewhere with minimal team utility and weak dueling power. Good players can make her work, but S Tier picks overshadow her.
Sigrid brings a strong defensive shield similar to Chaac. However, the smaller Ballistic Shield only protects her frontal arc compared to Chaac’s full coverage Riot Shield. The Deployable Shield is static but provides cover for the team. Sigrid’s passive ability, Evidence Collection, marks enemies she downs. This intel can enable allies but Sigrid herself lacks pushing power with a shield-only kit.
Juke provides solid intel gathering for the team with her abilities. The Alert Mines attach to surfaces and ping when enemies are near. Her passive ability, Unseen, reduces the radius in which enemies can hear her. However, Juke lacks any combat abilities and has only an SMG for weaponry. This leaves her vulnerable in direct fights, needing cover from teammates.
Fixer brings long range sniping similar to Vy. The LR15 Fullbody sniper rifle can one shot kill. Fixer also has Flashbangs that blind enemies hit. But he lacks Vy’s Poison Trap area denial and his pistol has poor close quarters power. Additionally, Fixer’s passive is just Lifeline which reduces revive time. This means he is heavily reliant on landing snipes to be impactful.
D Tier: Not Recommended
The D Tier Rogues generally have weak abilities and vulnerabilities that make them poor choices for competitive Elite play. They can still work situationally, but S through A Tier Rogues easily outclass them.
Dallas is one of the original Rogues but his abilities have aged. While the Radar Dart provides enemy intel like Talon’s, Dallas lacks stealth capabilities to act on it. The Ballistic Shield deploys only forward and on a short duration. Dallas’s passive ability, Executive Protection, only reduces explosive damage taken which is quite situational. Overall, Dallas just doesn’t bring much unique impact.
Phantom can be deadly in the right hands, but relies heavily on mechanical skill. The Katana one hit kills at melee range, but leaves Phantom vulnerable when on cooldown. The Smoke Grenade provides some cover for stealthy flanks and repositioning. Phantom’s passive ability is Stalker which reduces noise while crouching, but this is not enough to justify picking her over other flankers like Lancer or Ronin.
Dima shares a name with the S Tier Dima, but has a much weaker ability kit. The Cluster Grenade provides a bit of AoE damage but lacks Dima’s explosive power. Dima’s passive ability is Replenish which auto replenishes ammo from dropped guns. This has minimal impact though. Dima’s only noteworthy ability is the Flashbang, but other Rogues like Fixer can flash more consistently. Overall, Dima is thoroughly outshined.
Gl1tch can be annoying when played well, but struggles to actually secure kills or objectives. The Hack ability disrupts enemy HUDs which causes some confusion. However, the Hack is easy to avoid by not looking in Gl1tch’s direction. The Flashbang provides brief blinding but with long cooldown. Gl1tch also lacks any passive abilities. Overall, Gl1tch is more of a nuisance than real threat in Elite games.
F Tier: Not Viable
These Rogues are severely underpowered for competitive Elite play and should almost never be chosen. They can potentially work in low ranked matches but will be completely ineffective at higher skill levels.
Cannon is a new Rogue with a highly underwhelming kit. His passive ability, Explosive Ordnance, reduces explosive damage taken but most fights are won with gunfire. The RPG deals mediocre AoE damage compared to Dima’s MIRV Launcher. The Razor Wire does slow enemies but is easily destroyed. Overall, Cannon provides almost no value to the team besides chip damage.
Trench shares a name with the B Tier Trench but has completely different abilities. The Trip Mines he deploys do low damage and are easy to spot. His Smoke Grenade provides mild vision obscurement but lacks true utility. Trench’s passive ability is Double Time which speeds up movement briefly after spawning. This minor mobility boost in no way makes up for his lack of impactful abilities.
The Rogue tier list reflects the current meta of each character’s viability in competitive Elite matches. However, skilled players can still perform well with lower tier Rogues in the right situations. The S Tier Rogues are dominant forces that generally provide the most value to teams. But mastering a personal favorite can override raw power levels. With proper team synergy and smart play, any Rogue is deadly. But for those looking to maximize effectiveness in Elite ranked, focusing on the S and A Tier powerhouses is advised. Their versatile abilities and well-rounded strengths make them the top performers at high skill play.
